ABP is a dedicated fire and explosion practice whose stated core activity is the investigation of the origin and causes of fires and explosions, working for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, law firms and companies, and appearing in court to present and defend its technical reports. Bartomeu Roig Antoja holds an MSc in Fire Investigation from the University of Central Lancashire, the UNED diploma as Perito Judicial Experto en la Investigación de Incendios, and IAAI programmes including Certified Fire Investigation Trainer. Bartomeu Roig Sitjar, an industrial engineer of the ETSEIB, and Agustín Nieto Olías hold the UNED Experto Profesional en la Investigación de Incendios and the INESE and APCAS postgraduate qualification in fire and miscellaneous risks, and both coordinate the Guardia Civil’s courses on electrical fire investigation and explosion investigation for its judicial police, scientific police and forensic services. Oriol Izquierdo Díaz holds the UNED perito judicial diploma, with two University of Valencia electrical-engineering academics covering ignition analysis.
