A non-profit association that runs LICOF, the Centro de Ensayos e Investigación del Fuego founded by the Ministry of Industry in 1975 and for years Spain’s official fire testing laboratory. It is accredited by ENAC across both halves of the discipline and recognised by the International Maritime Organization. Its fire resistance scope runs to the EN 1363, EN 1364 and EN 1634 series, which is what a CTE (RD 314/2006) or RSCIEI (RD 2267/2004) compliance case is built on, and its reaction-to-fire laboratory issues the Euroclass under RD 842/2013. Reaction-to-fire testing was centralised at Arganda del Rey, east of Madrid, with the ENAC accreditation annex updated to match.
