AMBICO manufactures specialised steel and wood door, frame and window assemblies from a single plant in Ottawa, covering acoustic, blast- and pressure-resistant, bullet-resistant, lead-lined, stainless and oversized ranges. Fire-labelled assemblies are offered as single door and frame units rated to three hours and as pairs rated to ninety minutes, including oversized pairs. The firm states that its fire-rated products are tested to NFPA 252, UL 10B and UL 10C and certified by Underwriters Laboratories and Warnock Hersey International, and that the business is serviced by Warnock Hersey International, UL and Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada. It is family owned and has operated since 1955.
