Havells makes electrical equipment and cables, including fire survival cables. These have a heat barrier over the conductor, XLPE insulation, steel armour and a zero-halogen low-smoke sheath, and keep working at 650, 750 and 950 °C. They are made and tested at Havells’ cable plant in Alwar, Rajasthan, and the corporate office is in Noida. Its fire resistant cables are certified by LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board).
