Harding Nicholls Lloyd Associates (trading as hnla) is a small independent fire engineering consultancy in South Wales, led by chartered and fellow-grade fire engineers. It applies fire engineering design to give architects greater design freedom, safer buildings and cost savings, with particular experience in fire strategy and the structural fire behaviour of timber-frame buildings. Its assessments are an aid to professional judgement, not a substitute for it.
