Founded in 1989 and based at Arganda del Rey outside Madrid, Iberext installs and maintains active and passive fire protection from seventeen regional offices with more than 400 staff. It publishes seventeen Calificación CEPREVEN qualifications covering automatic water extinction by sprinklers at both ordinary and extra risk, foam and water mist, gaseous extinction by high-pressure CO₂ and by inert and chemical agents, powder and aerosol systems, detection, smoke control, passive protection and manual means. It also publishes its RIPCI registrations under RD 513/2017 as installing company IPCI-119 and maintaining company MPCI-116, and states that systems are designed and maintained to UNE, NFPA, APSAD and FM criteria. Its AENOR ISO certificates are held but are not the qualifying evidence.
