The Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais, France’s national measurement and testing establishment, and notified body 0071 under the Construction Products Regulation for CE marking. Its reaction to fire work spans both classification regimes at once: the French M classification for rigid and flexible materials (NF P 92-501 and 503 to 507) and the AM 18 mass-loss test for upholstered seating (NF D 60-013), alongside the European Euroclass suite — single burning item (EN 13823), floor coverings (EN 9239-1), non-combustibility (EN 1182), ignitability (EN 11925-2) and gross calorific value (ISO 1716). It is an approved laboratory under the French fire-behaviour decrees of 1959 and 2002 and is mandated by AFNOR as a recognised expert for NF mark certification.
