The Newkem Group has provided passive fire protection, steel frame construction, protective coatings and acoustic and thermal insulation systems since 1953. It works with Isolatek International, manufacturing and applying ISOLATEK sprays and intumescent coatings for structural steel, hydrocarbon and tunnel fire protection. It also offers Flamebar fire-rated ductwork and fire-stopping systems. Its named projects include Tarapur Atomic Power Station, Mumbai Airport, Delhi Metro and IOCL Panipat. It is licensed by the Directorate of Maharashtra Fire Services as a passive fire protection agency (licence 2026/RP-64).
