KEI makes wires and cables, including fire survival and fire resistant cables. These use a mica-tape fire barrier and halogen-free sheathing to keep circuits working during a fire and support safe evacuation. The company was founded in 1968 to make rubber cables and has its office in Okhla, New Delhi. Its fire resistant cables are certified by LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board).
